A review of the news from around the grounds of each Barclays Premier League club.
Arsenal - Arsene Wenger was pleased with Wednesday's 4-0 win over Dutch club FC Twente that ensured qualification for the group phase of the Champions League. "It was a big game for us and I felt we were well organised, disciplined, focused and basically never really under threat from FC Twente," he said after his side completed a 6-0 aggregate win. "We've spoken after the game and we can't be happy with that performance."
Chelsea - Frank Lampard believes the club now has a number of free-kick specialists to keep opposition goalkeepers guessing. New signing Deco scored a stunning free-kick at Wigan on Sunday, and Lampard said of the various options now available: "I think that's great. We haven't always had those options but it's good to have for free-kicks. One - it keeps the goalkeeper guessing, and two, you have different attributes from players. Some can bend them, others go for power, and left foot, right foot. It can only be good for us."
Everton - New signing Lars Jacobsen has had the inside track on Everton from former Toffee Thomas Gravesen. He said: "I have played with Thomas in the national team and he said a lot of good things about the club and the fans. It's a fantastic club and I am very pleased to be here now."

We are just relieved to be through," said Kuyt.

I wasn't in the team against Villa and I was very disappointed but I've been working hard all summer on my fitness and game all pre-season, so it was just biding my time to make sure I took my chance. The one thing on my mind on Sunday was to make the best of it no matter where I was playing."
Manchester United - Sir Alex Ferguson and his 19-man squad left Manchester Airport on Thursday morning ahead of United's Super Cup match with Zenit St Petersburg on Friday.
