Tottenham Hotspur's Heurelho Gomes is excited about his home debut for the club against Sunderland on Saturday.
The Brazilian goalkeeper signed from PSV Eindhoven earlier in the summer after gaining a growing reputation with the Dutch giants.
Gomes featured in the 5-0 friendly win over Roma at The Lane recently and made his league debut as Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Middlesbrough last weekend.
very important
"My first game at The Lane wasn't even a league game, but the atmosphere against Roma was unbelievable," Gomes told the club's official website. "I hope it will be the same for Sunderland.
"The same goes for the travelling support for the game against Middlesbrough, which was great for the team and very important for our confidence.
"I know it will be a difficult game against Sunderland, but we play to win at home and the fans will be behind us, so we have every chance of a win."
