Everton's Phil Neville does not believe the club needs to sign players in order to qualify for the Champions League.
The Toffees finished 11 points behind fourth placed Liverpool last season, with fans hoping new faces arrive to help bridge that gap.
So far the club have only confirmed the extended loan of Manuel Fernandes for next season, but Neville is not worried.
"I don't think Everton fans should worry too much about us signing too many players because of the quality in the squad," he told Everton's official website.
new season
"Look at the players who are not over here. The African players and Tim Howard obviously need their rest after playing through the summer but when we get them all back we'll not be far off again.
"I'm sure the manager will strengthen the squad but I'm more looking forward to getting Tim Cahill back because we missed him for four or five months of the season.
"Bainesy [Leighton Baines] missed part of it and we probably didn't see enough of Mikel Arteta after Christmas because of his injury.
"These types of players are going to be like new players for us next season."
