Van der Sar reveals: "Muhammad Ali is one of sport's all-time iconic greats. He reached the top of his sport and to this day is regarded as one of boxing's most skilful, graceful and entertaining performers ever. But, much more than that, I'm fascinated by Ali's life story. Growing up during a time when racism was rife in America, he had to stand up for his principles. Ali was just as tough out of the ring as he was in it. He refused to fight in the Vietnam War because it went against his religious beliefs.
As a result, he was stripped of his World Heavyweight Champion title, banned from boxing for three years and risked prison. But his strength of character always won through and he came back to reclaim his titles. He is a sportsman all other sportsmen admire."
