Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp will demand his players get amongst Liverpool on Saturday.
The Reds head to Fratton Park leading the Barclays Premier League but face a Pompey side that is no stranger to producing upsets.
Redknapp has masterminded many famous victories over the big four, including beating Liverpool the last time the two sides met. The Pompey manager will prepare his players to fight for a result against Rafa Benitez's side at the weekend.
"I've said it a million times, the top four will be the top four again - not because they've got the best four managers, because they've got the best players," said Redknapp.
no magic
"If you've got better players you've got a better chance of winning football matches. There's no magic to this game, they've got good players - they've improved. Benitez has brought in some extra quality in certain positions and that's the difference.
"We'll just play our normal game. We get after them, we get among them, we close them down, we work them. That's how we always play against Manchester United and those teams.
"You've got to do it - you can't stand back and let them play, they'll pass you to death. Liverpool are a great passing team so we've got to be after them and be ready to be in their faces and work them.
"Hopefully we can pull off another good result. We beat them here last year, we played well and they had one eye on the Champions League that week as well but that was a good result for us. Any time you beat Liverpool it's a great result."
