The Belarus international landed in Barcelona on Wednesday morning, and after spending the day undertaking various medical tests, sealed his switch.

The 27-year-old midfielder will cost Barca an initial £12million, rising to £13.5million depending on the club's success during Hleb's spell.

He spent the last three seasons at Arsenal after joining the Barclays Premier League side from German outfit Stuttgart. Prior to that he played for BATE Borisov in Belarus.

Hleb made 89 appearances for the Gunners during his stay, scoring seven goals.

After joining from Stuttgart in 2005 for a fee of £11.2million, he earned rave reviews for his impressive performances and played a key role again last season as Arsene Wenger's side fell just short in their pursuit of the Barclays Premier League title.

Hleb follows midfielder Mathieu Flamini out of the Emirates Stadium, who joined AC Milan.
