3rd May: Bolton avoid relegation with a match to spare - Daryl Murphy of Sunderland scored an own goal for the Trotters 3rd May: Fulham and Birmingham go head to head at Craven Cottage - Fulham won 2-0 in another bid to avoid relegation while the Blues survival hopes were dealt a serious blow 4th May: Fernando Torres scores against Tottenham Hotspur to equal the Liverpool record for goals scored in consecutive home matches
11th May: As the curtain came down on the 2007/08 season Middlesbrough scored an unbelievable eight goals against Man City 11th May: ...While Everton secured a place in the UEFA Cup at the expense of Aston Villa Final day: Meanwhile, Danny Murphy scored at Fratton Park to complete the great escape for Fulham
