West Ham United were another club that put a great deal of thought and effort into their Creating Chances initiatives, going out into their community and beyond:

  • At Richard House Hospice for life-threatened and life-limited children Anton Ferdinand and Mark Noble spent the afternoon baking cakes and making music with children from the hospice.

  • For Children in Crisis Kieron Dyer and Craig Bellamy visited a school in Elephant and Castle and took part in a quiz with year 6 children about the effects of drink and drug misuse.

  • Dean Ashton helped open a new Portakabin, which was donated by the Newham Kickz project. The Portakabin allows the Kickz project to deliver social education workshop sessions next to the football pitch.

  • And way down in Hastings Lucas Neill went to raise awareness for Decoda, which is a musical gym for children and adults with multiple learning disabilities.
