Everton bill themselves as 'The People's Club' and there was a strong sense of community in all of the initiatives that the Toffees got themselves involved with:
Aiyegbeni Yakubu was the special guest on the Healthy Bus as it visited year three children at several schools in Liverpool informing and educating the children on the benefits of healthy eating and an active lifestyle.
Tim Cahill met with the children, families and support staff at the Listening Ear, a charity which provides free counselling and bereavement support service for people in Merseyside. Tim helped children create a 'Memory Jar' for loved ones and released balloons with special messages written on them into the sky.
For Age Concern Liverpool, Leighton Baines took part in a coaching session and games before being part of a Q&A on why exercise is important to mental and physical health.
