Blackburn was a place of invention as their players were put into all sorts of new and exciting creative roles. Poets, artists, councillors and shop assistants were just some of the things Rovers' players were tasked with:
As part of Premier League Reading Stars Matt Derbyshire, Jason Brown, Robbie Savage, Steven Reid, Ryan Nelsen and Morten Gamst Pedersen read short poems for children which will feature on a DVD.
Stephen Warnock created his own piece of art at Derian House, a hospice for life limited children. The art work was later auctioned off to raise funds for Derian House with Stephen buying his own work and several other pieces!
David Dunn visited a local school to highlight the work of the Samaritans. He took part in a Q&A session designed to help young people cope with problems such as exams and bullying when they feel that they can't tell their parents.
David Bentley presented a cheque to Scope North West to find promotional work that the charity will be doing and also went to work at Scope's shop in Blackburn for the afternoon.
