The Egyptian hit the half-century in just his 72nd PL appearance, Liverpool's 4-3 win over Crystal Palace, going level with Fernando Torres with the fourth-fewest matches required.

But, when taken on minutes played, only Alan Shearer required fewer than Salah in hitting 50 goals.

Shearer, the League's all-time leading goalscorer, took just 5,337 minutes to reach the mark, 37 ahead of Salah.
