Who are the best forwards ahead of Double Gameweek 34?

Managers in Fantasy Premier League are facing a big dilemma with how to manage their Tottenham Hotspur assets ahead of their forthcoming Blank Gameweek 34.

Although both Spurs and Chelsea have a Double Gameweek 35 (DGW35), the immediate question is what to do with their key players, such as Son Heung-min (£10.1m), James Maddison (£7.9m) and Pedro Porro (£5.9m), in Gameweek 34 when they are without a fixture.

As well as having a DGW35, Spurs will also play twice in Double Gameweek 37, when they host Burnley and Manchester City.

Impact of different chip strategies

Those with their Free Hit chip left to play could use it in Gameweek 34, when seven teams play twice, while Spurs are without a fixture. This would mean the Spurs players you currently own will return to your squad for their DGW35.

If you still have your Wildcard remaining, managers could use it in DGW35 to load up on Spurs players, either benching them in Gameweek 34, or selling them for players with two fixtures in DGW34.

But for any managers considering using their Bench Boost in Gameweek 34, you will need to replace your Spurs players.

Here, The Scout's panel of FPL experts share their thoughts on what to do.

What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I don't have any Spurs players right now, so Sunday's 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest was an uncomfortable watch. I'll be back behind the sofa again this week as they travel to Newcastle United, and I'll be going without again. Come DGW35, though, I'll be bringing one or two of their players up on my Wildcard.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

As I've already played my Wildcard, I will be holding Son and Destiny Udogie (£5.0m) for the run-in. This is made easier as I am planning to play my Free Hit chip in Gameweek 34.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

While players including Son and Pedro Porro (£5.9m) are producing FPL points, some such as Maddison are out of form and struggling for returns. With plenty of mid-priced midfielders performing well, I would make the switch to Luis Diaz (£7.6m) or Kai Havertz (£7.3m) if you're seeking a differential with two fixtures in Gameweek 34.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

I only own Son from Spurs, who I may also lose ahead of Gameweek 34. Whether I do it this week or not depends on other factors such as Man City rotation or any midweek injuries.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I currently have both Son and Udogie in my team. My plan for managing Gameweek 34 is to move Son to the bench and to sell Udogie. Spurs aren't keeping clean sheets, managing only one since Gameweek 17, so Udogie's slot could be used on a second Arsenal defender ahead of their two matches in Gameweek 34. I will look to add a second Spurs player ahead of their DGW35.

My suggestion would be that if you don't still have a Wildcard to play, hold your Spurs attackers for their DGW35 and the rest of the run-in, benching them in Gameweek 34.
