Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel says he is glad to be back in the thick of the action after enduring a lengthy injury lay-off and is raring to go again against Everton on Boxing Day.
Schmeichel, who had been out since 2 November after injuring a hand against FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League, made an impressive return to the first team last weekend with a string of saves that helped 10-man Leicester rally from two goals down to draw against Stoke City.
"It’s been a long time coming so it’s just nice to get back out there," Schmeichel told lcfc.com. "It’s tough, I’m not good at sitting out so it was a tough period."
