Liverpool were held to an eighth League draw at Anfield this season by a determined Tottenham side.

Tottenham were without manager Harry Redknapp after his flight from London was cancelled, but they frustrated the hosts with a determined defensive display.

Andy Carroll had a good chance for the home side but fired over, while in a late flurry Gareth Bale broke free only to fire at Pepe Reina and Liverpool substitute Luis Suarez headed straight at Brad Friedel.
