Javier Hernandez scored his third goal in the Barclays Premier League this season
Barclays Premier League champions Manchester United returned to winning ways after Javier Hernandez's first-half goal secured three points against Everton at Goodison Park.
The Mexico international striker latched on to Patrice Evra's cross in the 19th minute as United registered their third away win of the season six days after their 6-1 home defeat to rivals Manchester City.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson's side were fortunate to see a left-footed Leighton Baines free-kick from the edge of the penalty area rebound off the post five minutes before half-time.
