The joint-chairmen of Burnley have revealed that manager Sean Dyche and his staff have signed new and improved deals at the Lancashire club.

In an open letter to Burnley fans on the club's website, John Banaszkiewicz and Mike Garlick announced the new deals with Dyche and his staff, without disclosing their lengths.

Dyche joined Burnley in October 2012 and his previous deal ran until the end of the 2014/15 season. The former Watford manager transformed the club to one who were promoted to the Barclays Premier League as runners-up to Leicester City last season with little outlay on new signings.

Burnley, who were in the Barclays Premier League for the 2009/10 season, open the forthcoming campaign with a home match against Chelsea. It will take place at a Turf Moor stadium that will have been changed over the summer as the club upgrade facilities as part of their obligations under Premier League rules. But also Banaszkiewicz and Garlick say that the work on the stadium aims to create an atmosphere that can aid the Burnley players and it will be accompanied by similar improvements to the club’s Gawthorpe training ground.

"Part of these plans include making the ground a more intimidating place for visitors and we are working on ideas to help generate a big atmosphere and help give the team a boost," the letter read. "We are also improving facilities for the playing and coaching staff at Gawthorpe, where we are looking to develop more pitches for our current and future players."

Burnley have yet to bring in any new players for the season but have secured to new deals two of the members of the team who earned promotion, Kieran Trippier and Danny Lafferty. Banaszkiewicz and Garlick said that the club are working hard to identify players for the season ahead.

"We know that every Clarets player will wear the shirt with pride as we go up against some of the biggest clubs in the world and are working hard to identify the most suitable transfer targets to be assets for the club in the long term," they said. "We are hoping that we only make headlines once deals are done and we will do everything we can to be discreet and limit the rumour-mill, which can be detrimental when seeking and signing players."
