Leicester City complete free transfer of Cambiasso

34-year-old Argentinian midfielder moves to King Power Stadium on one-year deal

At Inter Milan, Esteban Cambiasso won a host of honours

Leicester City have announced the signing of Esteban Cambiasso on a one-year deal.

The 34-year-old Argentinian midfielder is a free agent after spells at Real Madrid and Inter Milan. During a 10-year spell at Inter, Cambiasso won five league titles and a UEFA Champions League. He has also won 50 caps for Argentina.

Last season, Cambiasso made 32 league starts and scored four times to help Inter finish fifth in Serie A.

Cambiasso, who is Nigel Pearson's sixth summer signing following the arrivals of Marc Albrighton, Matthew Upson, Ben Hamer, Leonardo Ulloa and Jack Barmby, will wear the No 19 shirt at Leicester, whose next game in the Barclays Premier League is at home to Arsenal on Sunday, 31 August.
