Crystal Palace manager Pulis leaves the club

Tony Pulis guided Crystal Palace from the bottom of the Barclays Premier League to 11th

Crystal Palace have confirmed that their manager Tony Pulis has left the club by mutual consent with immediate effect.

Pulis, 56, took over at Selhurst Park in November 2013 from Ian Holloway and guided the club, which had only four points, from the bottom of the table to an 11th-place finish at the end of the 2013/14 Barclays Premier League, winning the Barclays Manager of the Season award.

Keith Millen, the assistant manager, will be in temporary charge of the team for Palace's visit to Arsenal in their opening match of the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League campaign on Saturday 16 August.

"The club would like to thank Tony for his efforts with the club during last season and wish him all the best for the future," Palace said in a statement.
