It is not where you would usually expect to find them, but ex-Premier League stars Robbie Fowler, Gareth Southgate, Jimmy Bullard, Marcel Desailly and Chris Kamara, certainly go above expectations by taking the ride of their lives in the hair-raising new ad from beer brand Carlsberg.
The five joined over 200 extras in the filming of the latest ad, which depicts the highs and lows of the Barclays Premier League, of which the beer is an official partner.
From fans to commentators, from players to linesman and from stewards to referees, this typically epic Carlsberg ad brings together everything that the beautiful game has become famous for and puts Carlsberg at the heart of those exceptional football moments.
'The Ride' depicts hundreds of people on a rollercoaster symbolising the ups and downs, the tension and jubilation, the disbelief and jaw-dropping moments, the heartbreak and the glory, which every fan experiences every match and throughout every season.
"The Barclays Premier League is by far the most emotionally charged football league on the planet," said Tom Moradpour, VP Carlsberg Brand. "And there are so many people who make the Premier League what it is."
Carlsberg is now asking fans to get involved and #JoinTheRide by posting their moments of extreme emotion on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
