U21 Cup: Bristol City seal tie with West Ham

Goal in extra-time from Tom Fry beats Peterborough at Ashton Gate

Fry scored the only goal of the match, four minutes before the end of extra-time

Bristol City’s Under-21 team have earned the chance to take on the leaders of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, after they secured an extra-time victory over Peterborough United at Ashton Gate.

After 90 minutes of many chances but no goals, Tom Fry got the winner, in the 116th minute, converting Ben Withey’s cross, to cap off a good week for the pair, who scored in the 3-0 win in the FA Youth Cup on Monday.

City will host West Ham at a date to be confirmed in the round of 32 of the competition, which began this season.
