England Under-21 manager Gareth Southgate praised Saido Berahino after the West Bromwich Albion striker inspired his team to victory against Finland in qualifying for the 2015 UEFA Under-21 Championship finals.
A England XI made up of players on the books of Barclays Premier League clubs beat Finland 3-0 at stadium:mk to keep them on top of Group One, with Berahino, 20, scoring twice, while Manchester United’s Barclays Under-21 Premier League player Michael Keane got the other.
"He is a good player, a good finisher and a pleasure to work with," Southgate said of Berahino, who has scored six goals in four appearances for England U21, while also scoring six times for his club this season. "He has got a desire to improve all the time and he is a terrific goal threat for us.”
