Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge and West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce have won the monthly Barclays Premier League awards for February.
Sturridge was named Barclays Player of the Month for the second time this season, having won the August award. The England striker scored five goals and produced two assists in the Barclays Premier League during February to help Liverpool earn three wins from four matches, including a 5-1 victory against Arsenal.
Allardyce collected the Barclays Manager of the Month award for February after West Ham picked up a maximum 12 points during the month, scoring nine goals and conceding just one. It is the fifth time that Allardyce has received the honour, but the first time in more than seven years.
His last award came in December 2006 when he was manager of Bolton Wanderers. Last month Allardyce guided West Ham to wins in the Barclays Premier League against Swansea City, Aston Villa, Norwich City and Southampton.
