Manchester City have completed their second signing of the summer with the capture of winger Jesus Navas from Sevilla.

The 27-year-old, who has 23 caps for Spain, will join up with the 2011/2012 Barclays Premier League champions after playing for his country in the FIFA Confederations Cup.

"Manchester City is an exciting project and this is the right moment for me to take this step. I'm very happy with the opportunity and the decision," he told the club's official website.

"The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast and will suit the way I play. I'm really looking forward to it.

"I'm going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The club have put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch."

Navas has been with Sevilla since he was 15 years old, making a total of 393 appearances and scoring 34 goals, and has a string of trophies to his name after winning two UEFA Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, two Copa Del Rey titles and the Spanish Super Cup.

He was also part of the Spain squad that won the FIFA World Cup in 2010, coming on for last 30 minutes in the final against the Netherlands, and UEFA Euro 2012.

Manchester City fans could see him in action at the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong on 24 July when his new team take on South China. There are tickets still available for that match, as well as Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur on the same day. Click here for more information.
