Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has ended his seven-year stay in the Barclays Premier League after signing for Italian side Juventus.

City have confirmed that the 29-year-old has agreed a three-year deal with the Serie A champions.

"Everyone at Manchester City wishes Carlos the best of luck in Italy and thanks him for his important contributions," read a statement on the club's website.

The Argentina forward first came to England in 2006 when he signed for West Ham United. After a year in London, Tevez joined Manchester United where he won an array of trophies including two Barclays Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.

He crossed Manchester to join City in 2009 where he won the FA Cup in 2011 and the League title for a third time in 2011/12.

Tevez made a total of 202 League appearances for his three English clubs, scoring 84 goals.

Meanwhile, City have confirmed the shirt numbers for two of their new signings. Jesus Navas will wear the No. 15 shirt, which was last worn by Stefan Savic during the 2011/12 campaign, while Fernandinho will wear the No.25 shirt.
