Graham delighted to join Hull on loan

After 13 Barclays Premier League appearances for Sunderland striker moves to Tigers on loan

Graham has agreed a season-long loan move to Hull from Sunderland

Danny Graham says that he is "delighted" at his move after agreeing to join Hull City on a season-long loan from Sunderland.

The 27-year-old striker, who moved from Swansea City to Sunderland in January, believes he has made the right move by electing to join the newly promoted club.

"When the chance came to sign here on loan, I jumped at it"

"I'm delighted to be here," Graham told the club's website, before flyng out to Portugal to meet his new team-mates at their pre-season training base. "It's great to come to a club where everybody is on a high after winning promotion and I’ve only heard good things about this club.

"It's exactly the same as when I joined Swansea a couple of years ago, a club coming up into the Premier League. The stories for the two clubs are very similar. I know I'm coming to a good club with a top manager, a fantastic stadium and some very good players. When the chance came to sign here on loan, I jumped at it."

Hull manager Steve Bruce will be hoping Graham can rediscover the form that saw him score 12 goals in the Swans' debut season in the Premier League in 2011-12. Graham, who began his career at Middlesbrough, scored three goals for Michael Laudrup's side last season before moving to Sunderland, where he failed to open his goal account in 13 appearances for the Black Cats.

The striker has become Bruce's seventh summer signing following the arrivals of Peterborough United striker George Boyd, Sunderland midfielder Ahmed Elmohamady, defenders Maynor Figueroa and Curtis Davies, who joined from Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City respectively and goalkeepers Allan McGregor and Steve Harper.

The Tigers begin their first Barclays Premier League campaign since 2010 with a trip to Chelsea on 18 August.
