Tottenham Hotspur signed their third player in a day when Christian Eriksen’s move from Ajax was confirmed yesterday.
On the day that moves for defender Vlad Chiriches and forward Erik Lamela were announced, the 21-year-old Denmark attacking midfielder joined having played 161 matches, with 33 goals, for Ajax, with whom he won three Eredivisie titles from 2010.
Eriksen, who has been capped 37 times for his country, is Spurs’ seventh acquisition during the summer window after Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Roberto Soldado, Etienne Capoue, Lamela and Chiriches.
"Everyone has followed the development of Spurs and it's something I want to be part of," Eriksen was quoted as saying on the club’s Twitter account.
