Cristian Ceballos's treble helped Tottenham Hotspur to victory at Southampton
Niall Keown scored to help Reading rally from two goals down at Bolton
Cristian Ceballos scored a hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur completed a convincing victory against Southampton in the Barclays U21 Premier League.
Tottenham were 2-0 up inside eight minutes of the Group 2 encounter thanks to goals by Ceballos and Jonathan Obika, before Saints forward Sam Hoskins pulled one back at the Staplewood Training Ground.
Ceballos struck from 18 yards to make it 3-1 after the break, before completing his hat-trick, converting a square pass from former Southampton loanee Yago Falque.
Calum Chambers scored deep into added time with a deflected strike for the hosts, but it was nothing more than a consolation goal.
Reading came from two goals down to secure a draw against Bolton Wanderers in Group 1.
The Royals grabbed a point thanks to strikes by Jake Taylor and Niall Keown, the son of former Arsenal defender Martin, after going 2-0 down inside the first half-hour.
Gregg Wylde put the home side in front with a free-kick after 20 minutes, before Matthew Partridge's attempted clearance from a Joe Riley cross went into his own net three minutes later.
But Reading scored in each half to share the spoils at the County Ground.
