Scott Sinclair, who scored his first Man City goal against Wolves, tries from distance
A late goal by Scott Sinclair for Manchester City secured a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League.
Sinclair equalised from the penalty spot 10 minutes from time after Denis Suarez had been fouled in the area. The goal – the winger's first for the club since joining from Swansea City in the summer – cancelled out a header from Ronald Zubar that had given Wolves the lead in the 70th minute and gave the home crowd of more than 1,000 who had taken advantage of the free entry to the Etihad Stadium something to cheer them on their way home.
The result kept the visitors ahead of City in Group 3 in second place, one of the two spots guaranteed for passage into the knockout stage of the competition. Wolves are three points behind leaders Liverpool and four ahead of City, Middlesbrough and Fulham, who are all on seven points.
