Sergio Aguero has strengthened his commitment to Manchester City by signing a one-year extension to his contract.
"Now I am looking forward to next season and pushing hard to win the title again"
The 24-year-old forward, who joined Man City on a five-year deal from Spanish Liga side Atletico Madrid in 2011, made an immediate impact in his first season at the club, scoring 23 top-flight goals and producing the dramatic added-time winner on the last day of that campaign to clinch the Barclays Premier League title for the club on goal difference.
The Argentina striker has scored a total of 35 goals in his 64 League appearances and helped his side finish runners-up in the title race this season.
“I'm very happy at City and I feel very appreciated,”Aguero told the club’s website. “It's been barely two years since I've arrived and sometimes I feel like I've been here for all my life.
“I have a fantastic relationship with the fans, and that always reminds me of our title and that goal against QPR. I can never forget that moment. Now I am looking forward to next season and pushing hard to win the title again.”
Aguero’s new deal comes in the wake of similar recent new agreements for Gael Clichy, Yaya Toure and David Silva.
