Ahead of the North London derby, Tottenham Hotspur were given a lift when their head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, and player Gareth Bale won the Barclays awards for February.
Villas-Boas won the manager of the month award after guiding his side to nine points from three matches in the Barclays Premier League during February.
"We're in some good form at the moment and hopefully we can keep it up"
"It's an award I want to share with my staff," the Portuguese said. "The Barclays Premier League is very difficult. When you're in it you have to recognise the value of every single person who works in the club.
"We had a very good month in February. If we continue to show this level of form hopefully we can reach our objectives."
Bale scored five times last month, earning him the player-of-the-month award.
"It's great to win the Barclays Player of the Month," the Welshman said. "We're in some good form at the moment and hopefully we can keep it up.
"This season I've had the licence to come inside and have that free role and I've been able to get into better positions to be able to score. I'm enjoying my football."
