Broadcast selections made for opening months

Matches to be shown on Sky Sports and ESPN in the first few months of the 2012/13 season

Newcastle United versus Tottenham Hotspur will be the first match televised this season

The Barclays Premier League matches to be broadcast on Sky Sports and ESPN in the opening months of the 2012/13 season have been announced.

Newcastle United against Tottenham Hotspur will be the first match shown live, with the fixture to be broadcast on ESPN at 5.30pm on 18 August - the opening day of the season.

Chelsea will visit Wigan and defending champions Manchester City will host Southampton the following day, with both matches to be shown live on Sky Sports.
