Everton defender Sylvain Distin has made 114 League appearances for the club
Everton have announced that defender Sylvain Distin has signed a new one-year contract extension.
The 35-year-old has become a mainstay of the side since joining the club from Portsmouth in 2009 and has made 20 Barclays Premier League appearances this season.
His contract was set to run out at the end of this season but he has now committed his future to Goodison Park until 2014.
Distin has a wealth of experience, having played for Paris St-Germain, Newcastle United and Manchester City, and has made a total of 114 League appearances during his time at Everton.
