Everton’s home shirt will take on a unique look for the visit of Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday as the Merseyside club celebrates the 25th anniversary of Everton in the Community.

Chang, the club’s shirt sponsor, has donated the space on the front of the kit for the match, which coincides with the charity’s silver jubilee.

Everton in the Community was established on 1 February 1988 and has gone on to win a host of awards for its work to support vulnerable and underprivileged people on Merseyside. To mark the anniversary the charity is inviting the club’s fans to help to raise £1million by asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of Goodison Park, the club’s stadium, each to raise £25.

There will be a number of other events to mark the anniversary around the matchday, with giveaways, music and special guest appearances.
