Chelsea's home match against Southampton will take place on 16 January

Chelsea's home Barclays Premier League match against Southampton has been rearranged for Wednesday, 16 January.

The original fixture at Stamford Bridge was originally scheduled to take place on 15 December but was postponed because of Chelsea's participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The rearranged date is subject to whether the FA Cup third round contest between the sides at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday goes to a replay.
