Josh Murphy scored the first of Norwich City's goals as they routed Stoke City
Norwich City got their second phase of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League off to a great start with a 5-0 victory away to Stoke City in Group 2.
The twins Josh and Jacob Murphy were the stars for Norwich with the latter scoring a hat-trick at Nantwich Town FC. Josh Murphy, 17, scored the first before his brother’s treble, his second in consecutive matches and he has eight goals in three matches. Jamar Loza got the final goal towards the end.
"I don't think the result flattered us, because it was only 1-0 at half time and we had to work hard for it,” said Norwich development squad manager Scott Marshall. “Stoke play in a certain way and we had to adapt and respond to that, so it wasn't easy.
