Redknapp to return to dugout

Tottenham boss back for match against Villa following heart procedure

Spurs boss Redknapp missed two matches while recovering from his heart operation

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp will return to the dugout for Monday's Barclays Premier League match against Aston Villa following a heart operation earlier in November.

The 64-year-old missed Spurs' Europa League defeat at Rubin Kazan and the League win at Fulham while he was recuperating from what was described as a 'minor procedure'.

Redknapp said he was feeling well ahead of his return to the touchline at White Hart Lane.

"I feel fine, I've got more energy than I had before. I'll be on the bench for sure," he said.

"Sometimes you don't realise there's something wrong. I feel better than I did three weeks ago.

"I can handle the stress of a football match. I've been used to doing it for so long now that I'm sure I won't have a problem. If I keel over, the doctors will be right behind me, I'm sure."

Redknapp's Spurs are currently fifth in the Barclays Premier League table, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City but with two matches in hand.
