Everton manager David Moyes has praised Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's professionalism as the Russian struggles to establish himself as a first-team regular at Goodison Park.
The winger is yet to complete a full 90 minutes this season, but boss Moyes says the player's attitude has been first-class throughout.
"It’s been a difficult time for him, and we hope he can continue like this," said Moyes.
"What he wants is to be given an opportunity – he wants a chance like all players do.
"But I have to say he’s never complained for a minute. He’s got on with his work, he’s been a pleasure every day in training, he really is, and the effort he puts in – if people aren’t aware of that then they should realise that he’s a top, top professional.
"There’s bits of it where the game could at times be a little bit quick for him, but we’ve talked about it, and we’ve wondered, do we miss his goals when he’s not playing?"
The winger has scored nine times in 44 league and cup starts for Everton.
