Versatile teenager commits long-term future to Ewood Park Club

Jason Lowe has become a regular in the Blackburn Rovers team this season

Promising Blackburn teenager Jason Lowe has signed a new five-year deal to remain at Ewood Park.

The 19-year-old, who can play either full-back or in central midfield, is now contracted with the Lancashire outfit until the summer of 2016.

Lowe has become a regular this season for Blackburn and captained England's Under-20s before breaking into the Under-21 squad.

"I'm delighted with his progress, Stuart Pearce is as well for the Under-21s, and I believe he has a long and successful career ahead of him," said Rovers manager Steve Kean.
