Manchester United 2-0 Swansea City

Manchester United kept up the pressure on Manchester City at the top of the Barclays Premier League courtesy of an impressive victory against Swansea City at Old Trafford.

United took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Antonio Valencia pulled the ball back from the right and Michael Carrick's cross-shot was deflected in by Paul Scholes.

It was 2-0 before half-time as Ashley Young curled into the bottom corner, and United kept the visitors at bay during the second half as David de Gea saved well from Danny Graham.
