Striker Emile Heskey, goalkeeper Brad Guzan and defender Carlos Cuellar have all been released by Aston Villa.
The experienced trio were all at the end of their Villa contracts.
Veteran striker Heskey, 34, is one of only six players to have made 500 Premier League appearances during his career.
"We would like to thank them for their loyalty"
- Villa statement
He joined Villa from Wigan Athletic in January 2009, having previously played for Birmingham City, Liverpool and Leicester City - and has won 62 international caps with England.
Keeper Guzan, 27, joined the Midlands club in July 2008 but found first-team opportunities limited behind the likes of USA compatriot Brad Friedel and more recently Shay Given.
Spaniard Cuellar, 30, made 99 Barclays Premier League appearances for the club after joining in August 2008, filling in at centre-half, right-back and left-back.
In an article on the club's website, Villa said: "[We] would like to thank them for their unstinting loyalty to the club and wish them all the best for the future."
Ebby Nelson Addy, Connor Taylor, Charlie Ward, Reece Caira, Richard Bryan, Matthew Coton, Darious Darkin and Seb Jenkins have also been released from Villa's academy.
