Szczesny salutes 'fantastic' Rosicky

Arsenal goalkeeper praises Czech international midfielder for recent form

Midfielder Tomas Rosicky was in fine form for Arsenal against AC Milan on Tuesday

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny believes midfielder Tomas Rosicky is one of the reasons behind the club's resurgence over the last few weeks.

Rosicky has been in blistering form of late, scoring two goals in the last three matches, while producing impressive displays in the victories over Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and AC Milan.

And Szczesny says the Czech international should take credit for some influential performances.

"He has been fantastic for the last few weeks now, scored a great goal against Tottenham and was my man of the match in that game," Szczesny told the club's official website.

"I think we have sent a message to all the other teams that when we play at our best we can beat anyone in Europe"

"He was great again against AC Milan and hopefully he can keep going because when he plays like that he is a fantastic player.

"He can take people on in the middle of the park too. I think we dominated the midfield in the first half and he made the difference. He is fantastic."

Although the win over AC Milan on Tuesday was not enough for Arsenal to progress in the UEFA Champions League, Szczesny said the recent upturn in fortunes bodes well as the Gunners look to book a place in the top four of the Barclays Premier League.

Arsenal have won four Barclays Premier League matches in succession and Szczesny added: "Our momentum keeps going.

"We have won a couple of good games in the Premier League recently against Tottenham and Liverpool and we got a great win against AC Milan.

"It wasn't enough but we still have the momentum and believe that we can play really well for the rest of the season.

“I think we have sent a message to all the other teams that when we play at our best we can beat anyone in Europe.

"I think teams will struggle against us if we keep playing like that. Hopefully next season in the Champions League we can achieve a little bit more than we did this time."
