Anichebe nets late to sink Baggies

Everton striker's late goal settles tense New Year's Day match at the Hawthorns

Chances were at a premium for both sides before Anichebe's late goal

Victor Anichebe's 87th-minute winner was enough to bring Everton victory in a tense match at the Hawthorns.

Anichebe fired in from close range as Everton extended their unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League to four matches.

In a match of few chances, West Brom struggled to create opportunities to add to their seven home goals in the League this season - the lowest total in the Barclays Premier League.
