Tottenham hit five past Newcastle

Emmanuel Adebayor scores one and sets up four goals as Spurs cruise home

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor played a part in all of their goals

Emmanuel Adebayor scored one and set up the other four goals as Tottenham stunned Newcastle at White Hart Lane.

Adebayor set up Benoit Assou-Ekotto to open the scoring after just four minutes and then up strike partner Louis Saha to score his first for Spurs moments later.

Saha smashed in a second and then Niko Kranjcar slotted home to make it 4-0, with Adebayor hooking in a goal of his own to complete the scoring.
