Classy Man City crush holders Porto

Aguero scores after 19 seconds as Roberto Mancini's men cruise into the last 16

Sergio Aguero's early strike set Manchester City on their way

Manchester City 4-0 FC Porto (agg 6-1)

Sergio Aguero scored after only 19 seconds as Manchester City cruised into the last 16 of the Europa League at the expense of holders FC Porto.

The Argentine forward latched on to Yaya Toure's through ball before producing a cool finish in the opening minute and City did not look back.

They nearly doubled their lead when Aguero curled a shot from a tricky angle against the bar with Porto keeper Helton stranded.

After the break, the Argentine slipped a perfectly-weighted ball through to Edin Dzeko, who slotted in the second - and Porto's Rolando was sent off for a second yellow card in the aftermath for protesting.

David Pizarro set up David Silva for a tap in, then the Chilean completed the rout as Porto collapsed in the later stages and City booked a last-16 tie against Sporting or Legia Warsaw.
