Dutchman will miss at least three weeks of season with ankle problem

Swansea City midfielder Kemy Agustien is set to miss at least the next three weeks of the season with an ankle injury.

The 25-year-old Dutchman picked up the problem in training prior to Swansea's 3-2 defeat in the Barclays Premier League against Norwich City on 11 February.

A statement on the club's official website on Wednesday said: "Kemy Agustien faces at least three weeks on the sidelines after undergoing an ankle operation.

"Following a scan, Agustien had a small operation on Tuesday to cure the injury he sustained in training prior to the home clash with Norwich.

"The 25-year-old is likely to return to full fitness within three to five weeks."

Agustien has made 13 appearances in the Barclays Premier League for Swansea this season, last featuring in the 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea on 31 January.

He joined the club on a free in September 2010 and spent two months on loan at Championship side Crystal Palace last season.
