Angel Rangel has started every League match for Swansea this season
Swansea defender Angel Rangel has been ruled out for up to a month with an ankle injury.
The 29-year-old Spanish full-back landed awkwardly in the Barclays Premier League match against Aston Villa on Sunday.
A scan on Tuesday revealed Rangel, who had played every minute for the Swans in the League this season until he was substituted, has damaged ankle ligaments and could be out until the end of the year.
Swansea face bottom-of-the-table Blackburn Rovers on Saturday at Ewood Park - the first of six League matches for the Club in December.
Rangel's injury is likely to hand an opportunity to 21-year-old Ashley Richards, who replaced the Spaniard in the 0-0 draw with Villa.
