Weimann stunner cancelled out by Huth

Stoke City come from behind to earn a point at Aston Villa

Aston Villa's Chris Herd battles away with Stoke's Jonathan Walters at Villa Park

Aston Villa 1-1 Stoke City

Stoke City defender Robert Huth scored for the second successive match to earn his side a draw at Aston Villa in the Barclays Premier League.

German defender Huth headed in a Jermaine Pennant corner in the second half to give Stoke the point they deserved after Jonathan Walters and Huth had earlier both gone close to scoring.

Villa had had the better of the first half, with striker Andreas Weimann scoring a wonderful opener, curling into the far corner after a one-two with Stephen Ireland, before Huth levelled matters.
