The Premier League is taking the lead in showcasing the best of sport in the United Kingdom via social media.
The organisation is backing the Government's GREAT campaign, which aims to promote the UK abroad and deliver long-term economic benefits as the country moves to the centre of the world stage in 2012.
And from April 17th to April 31st, the Premier League will be the Guest Editor of the GREAT Facebook page.
The Premier League's takeover coincides with the launch of its 20 Seasons Awards which are celebrating two fantastic decades of the competition.
The greatest players, managers and moments from the past 20 years will all be acknowledged, with five awards to be decided by a public vote and six by a panel of experts.
By visiting the GREAT Facebook page you can learn more about the awards, as well as discovering more about the campaign itself.
In the UK, 2012 is going to be a year to remember with the Olympic and Paralympic Games being staged in London as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and World Pride taking place.
The GREAT campaign is bringing the party to Facebook, to showcase all the things that make Britain a GREAT place to visit, learn, live, invest and do business.
The GREAT campaign has been developed by the Department for Culture Media and Sport on behalf of the Prime Minister, working with colleagues at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK Trade & Investment, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, VisitBritain and the British Council.
