Premierleague.com rifles through the annals of the Barclays Premier League to find significant events.
Claus Jensen made both goals for Charlton Athletic as they saw off struggling Derby County at The Valley.
The Rams, who had missed a penalty, had looked set to pick up a priceless point in their battle to stay out of the relegation zone before Jensen was involved in the winner.
Jensen had set up the eighth-minute opener when his perfect corner was headed home, with a deflection off Youl Mawene, by Matthias Svensson.
Only a superb display by visiting keeper Mart Poom stopped Charlton from adding to their lead as the hosts dominated. But after surviving all that pressure, Derby equalised when Craig Burley curled in a magnificent 25-yard free-kick.
The visitors then had the chance to take the lead when Addicks keeper Dean Kiely brought down Malcolm Christie inside the area - but the goalkeeper redeemed himself when he saved Burley's penalty.
Derby improved in the second half before Jensen ran half the length of the field and had his shot saved by Poom - but Scott Parker was on hand to slot home the rebound.
Burley had two chances to level once again but could not convert them and Charlton held on for a victory which stretched their unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League to five matches.
It also took the Addicks up one place to eighth in the table but left Derby in 17th spot - one spot above the bottom three. That was where the Rams finished at the end of the season - eight points clear of the drop - while Charlton came ninth.
