Premierleague.com rifles through the annals of the Barclays Premier League to find significant events.
Reading snatched a dramatic draw with Fulham as four goals were scored in the final 14 minutes in a frantic finish.
"The players deserve an awful lot of respect for getting back into that"
Mikele Leigertwood had thundered Reading into the lead after 25 minutes when he fired home a cross from captain Jobi McAnuff.
Hugo Rodagella came close to an equaliser when his header from Damien Duff's centre was saved by Alex McCarthy.
The Cottagers threw on substitute Bryan Ruiz just before the hour mark and it proved to be an inspired change as the Costa Rica international pulled Fulham level within three minutes. He exchanged passes with Damien Duff before curling home a shot from the edge of the area.
Ruiz was not finished however and in the 77th minute he floated in a corner which Ian Baird headed in to put the Londoners 2-1 up.
Substitutes continued to play a big part as two Reading replacements combined for their equaliser as Adam Le Fondre crossed for Alan McLeary to score in the 85th minute.
Still the game was not over as Fulham replacement and ex-Reading midfielder Steve Sidwell, who came on in the 80th minute, slid through a perfect pass for Dimitar Berbatov to score his third goal since leaving Manchester United two minutes from time.
Reading, still seeking their first Barclays Premier League win of the season, would not give up, however, and Hal Robson-Kanu was first to Nicky Shorey's free-kick from the left to force the ball home in a goalmouth scramble.
"At 3-2 my weekend was absolutely miserable, but at 3-3 we were trying to kick on and win," said Reading manager Brian McDermott. "We try to win games and that's what we've done here for two or three years. The players deserve an awful lot of respect for getting back into that."
Fulham boss Martin Jol said: "Berbatov was good. He can play in midfield, in the hole and up front. He needed an injection to play the second half and showed a lot of character. There was a problem with his rib which was very painful. It was good to see him score the third goal."
